Hi, I'm Ramiro, a filmmaker and photographer from Salta, Argentina.
I studied film at ENERC NOA and Image and Sound at the Catholic University of Salta. Since then I've worn many hats (writing, directing, shooting and editing), both on my own projects and alongside other creators.
My short films have had a good run at festivals. La sangre de Saturno (2021) was part of the ENERC Official Selection at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, and won Best Short Film and Best Director at the Hacelo Corto International Festival. KAKUY (2019) won Best Drone Film at the Festival Internacional de Cine de las Alturas, and 5 días (2018) was made with an artistic creation grant from Argentina's National Endowment for the Arts (Fondo Nacional de las Artes).
Music is also a big part of my work. I've worked on music videos, often as director or cinematographer, for artists such as Los Tekis, Bacilos, El Chaqueño Palavecino, Juan Fuentes, Juan Genta, Los Venenosos and AHYRE.
Along the way I've also worked abroad, as a photographer in the United States and, in 2024, as lead cinematographer and video editor at Blu Media House in Australia. My work often takes me far from the cities, to small towns, open highways and remote places, and that's where I find most of my stories.
On the photography side, I run Sauce Foto Estudio, a space for artistic and commercial photography in Salta, and I'm a co-founder of Tola Estudio Creativo.
